It happens...

I have been guilty of it myself.

Hey man you asked. I don't see the headers doing that much for you, the subframes won't do much as you were not launching the car very hard to begin with. The burn out might get you a couple tenths. I hope you prove me wrong.

didnt improve sh*t.

ran consistant 15.2's@91mph.

good news is last time if i spun first i was in the high 15's, this time out even when i spun i was in the low 15's, so the car is moving out a lot better for sure

took me 3 passes to figure out how to do a proper burnout, and once i got it down, i wasn't ready for the car to hook so hard, so i got in the throttle a little to late, which made me bog, blah blah blah, excuse, excuses, blah, ****.

at any rate, it is MUCH funner to hook, then spin. im uploading the video's now, and will post them.

the car can do better, but it's not going to be easy.

guess i need to stop kidding myself. I NEED nitrous at this elevation

ill post the video's as soon as they are ready.

i just want to get into the 14's N/A, and not have to spend big buck's on head's to do it.

but i have ALL bolt on's, only easy little thing's is suspension, as i still have 100% stock suspension other then subframe's.

on the bottle as long as i can hook, i know it will HAUL ***. With the AOD a 50shot took off two second's off my ET. so a 50shot could take a full second off with the 5speed.

Other than the SFC what suspension mods do you have? That will help you when you do hook better. I bet if you were to go back again and get used to the hookup you can hit 14.9!
Better luck next time.
What did you set your tire pressure at?

if he boxed his lowers(or just bought aftermarket lowers) and got adj. upper C/A he could really dial in his launch. however with enough practice time with the 5speed i know he could break into the 14's as it is now.

like i said 100% stock suspension other then subframe connector's.

tire pressure started at 20PSI, spun hard, droped it to 18PSI and that's when i started to hook.

i know there's 14's in the car, it's just not easy with these aggressive gear's lol

I know you do to. Just some more practice and some lower control arms at the least will get you there. Next time drop the pressure a little more and just be ready to put that foot down and hit the next gear!

I will probably box my lowers in to see how well it works out until I save the money for some good lowers. But then again poly bushings alone would probably help more than boxing at the stockish hp levels.

both upper and lower control arm's SNAPPED, wrapped around, popped his tire, and ruptured his tank.
