1 gallon of water, bailing wire, Duct tape and the mentality of screw it. I drove my mustang with a bent rear axle(long story) 4 hours from Reno to Monterrey with coolant leaking out my weep holes. Made it no problem. Remember you ain't driving a chevy

Haha, I drove my 89 gt from Norfolk Virginia to about 20 miles shy of new york city with a blown head gasket. You should be fine. The 302 can take a lot of abuse, and if you keep it well maintained there shouldn't be any issues.

yeah. When I bought my DD I have now (86 Gt) I drove it 25 miles with a bad alternator, Cracked head, and no water in the car. Made it fine even though it drove like crap.
