Default trick flow heads

are tfs51400010 worth the money for a 302 i am going for 400 rwhp is this a good start for a stock motor

To save people the time of searching.... This is the part number for Trickflow's Twisted Wedge 170 cc heads.

Yes they're a good head but you'll need a hell of a lot more then just an h/c/i 302 to ever see 400rwhp. You'd need forced induction or nitrous.

You're no way going to hit 400rwhp with those heads without a blower or nitrous.

You need a blower(or nitro or turbo) to make 400+hp. A good H/C/I 302 will net around 300rwhp. Most Mustangs with the TF heads make around 280rwhp.

As I've stated before, my friends high compression "bullet in the box 306" makes roughly 425 crank HP. Visit DSS's site and you'll get all the answers you need on how to make 400WHP without spool, juice, or whine. But to answer your initial question, although the Trickflows are nice heads, you'll need to lighten your wallet considerably more to get the power you're after...
