true DD... id say nittos. because they are the ony ones that will last worth a damn.

I had BFG's and they didnt like being driven on the streets. My nitto's didnt give me any problems yet though

Definitely Nitto, great street tire that gets really sticky when you heat them. What size wheels are you putting them on?

for any longevity I'll agree on the Nittos:)

nittos drag radial huh? HMMM Im thinking I need something for the street or autocross, and then a drag tire. Maybe I can use a drag radial nitto for both, huh?

The Nittos Have the hardest compound but the same thing that helps them on the street hurts where it really counts. On the tracks in my area (Darlington SC, Rockingham NC and Fayetteville NC, etc) not many people get good results with the Nittos. The Hot ticket in this area are the M/T drag radials, The old tread pattern BFGs work well also. I wouldn't advise any of them for daily driver summer street use. I would buy a good set of drag radials like the M/T's and mount them on a st of old wheels with the right off set and wide enough to accomodate the tire. This way you get the best traction at the track and best mileage on the road. In the long run it comes out cheaper and you won't be buying tires every 10,000 miles or less

So MT drag radial or a slick possibly, if i beef up my rear end

and a nitto drag radial for street?

OnyxCobra 05-31-2009 12:17 PM

the Nittos make the best street tire, they last the longest and do fine in the rain. Unless you're worried about getting maximum traction at the strip the Nittos will be just fine, they still hook really good when heated up.
