Dream Oval

The wire going to my tach shorted out under the dash. It shorted pretty bad, lots of smoke. I fixed the wire but now the car will not start. It turns over fine but no fire. I think the dizzy module may be fried. I appreciate any help.

check fuses first. thats an easy start, then go from there. check a wiring diagram for fusable links that run in conjunctions with the wire you shorted.

The fuse are all good and the wire runs straight from the dizzy to the tach. I don't have any voltage going to my coil with the ignition switch on.

there is a fuse link for your hotstart/run off the dizzy/ignition coil. might wanna check that.
