Default Coolant leak help

My car developed a leak in a wierd place and I am hoping someone could shed some light. I noticed coolant coming off of the bottom part of the A/C/power steering bracket where the bracket bolts into the driver side head. I checked to see if it was a bad radiator hose but that was completely dry. I was thinking timing cover but I could not locate the source of the leak (leaks only under pressure). Could anyone with a better knowledge of the 5.0 coolant path than I have please holler? Thanks.

You mean on the top right corner of the water pump? Which is usually the case; a pump gone bad.

Yup, it's a common occurrence with the old mechanical water pumps. What happens is the seal goes bad and causes a slow leak, eventually (if not changed), get worse and develop an air pocket in the system, build up pressure and "kaboom", blow everywhere. Conclusion: you'll need to get a new pump, and a new thermostat as well (it's only a couple bucks... might as well do things right), then purge the air out of the system and you'll be all set!
