Default mustang hit by drunk driver question

I have a 1988 GT and it was parked and a drunk driver hit it he has insurance but my question is what is the "book" value on the car? I was told they go by NADA. I was on the web site and the 88 gt was listed under classic collector car do they have to go by that? His insurance is GEICO. Any info or insight would be great. Thanks

you will more than likely get raped. i hope you kept the reciepts for anything that you bought for them. also try to show them that going value is normally more than what there book is.
thats only if the car was totaled

Why would his insurance go up? The car was parked, a drunk driver hit it, and the other guys insurance is going to pay.

The insurance company told me the book value was $4700 And that they was going to have the door "fixed" which I replied to him hell no theres no way i'm going to let them slap 5 gallons of mud on a door to fix it. He said they couldnt get them new from ford anymore so he would have to get a used door from some Bill something mustang place in pa. and give me $1800.00 to get it fixed. But he said that they might have to blend it and that it might cost more for time to get it the right shade, and if it takes more time to fix the quarter and if it needs aligned. Some how i think i'm going to get screwed on that. Because the door might need work and side skirt might need some as well as these part are used.
