Question got a 302 and my input shaft is too small

i got a 302 out a 87 markVII and was an auto. i have an 88 mustang that had a 4cyl in it and i have 5speed for it and got a trans from a junk yard and used the bell housing but both the input shafts on these manuals are too small for the place where it mates in the eng. please let me know what i have to get or how to replace whatever i have to. also both cars were fuel injected what do i have to do to plug in the 302 F.I. where a 4cyl F.I. was. i heard it wouldent be much altering. if i have to i will put a 4bbl on there.

Thank you, Steven.

you'll have to get a pilot bearing for an 83 or 84 diesel ranger
