Hello, A friend of mine is going to let me borrow his rack Sunday to put my tremec in. The car has a T-5 now.

The transmission I am putting in has the shifter assembly but, does not have the shifter handle. I know that the the t-5 shifter handle will bolt up but, don't know if it will clear the hole in the floorboard through all gears.

Do you think I will have a problem?

I just don't want my car sitting out in front of an oil-change place for a week waiting on the UPS driver to bring me a handle.

What kind of tremec? A T5 is a tremec.

3550 tremec.

I have read about the tremec needing to be raised an inch to keep from getting a bad vibration.

It also needs the different transmission mount.

Thought there may be a difference in a length somewhere too.

I guess your right though, now that I think about it, it shouldn't have any issue as long as the shifter clears the hole.

you should be fine, if not.....just get a cutting wheel and have some imagination

Hey, I just noticed your from Huntsville. Any reason they are not having big races at the dragstrip this year.
