Default Possible exhaust issues

hey guys,i have a 1990 gt and got my bbk 2.5 offroad h pipe in and i decided to put it on.well,i am having to figure out what can i do to get rid of the leaks.i cant seem to get the driver side lined up on the back of the h pipe and the rest of the exhaust.it is the ball and socket style fitting.did any of you have this issue?what did you do to get it to line up.the rest of the exhust is stock and waiting to get flowmasters put on.it isnt totally lined up and cant seem to figure out if i have to and how to bend the pipe to make it set correctly.thanks.

oosen the front flanges, get the rears lined up and tighten them EVENLY... do not tighten one side at a time.

once the rears are tight, tighten the front flanges

dude that makes sense,thats is a great idea i really appreciate the input i will loosen everything back up tommorow i knew something wasnt right.

well the exhaust is a no go so i guess ill have to deal with it till i bring it to the exhaust shop for flowmasters.the pipe isnt lining up andwhen i bent the pipe straight the mufller hit the drive shaft so thanks for the suggestion any how.

did you have the car jacked up while you were trying to adjust the exhaust? If so, where(if you used any) did you have your jackstands?

i had the front of the car jacked up the rear was on the ground i had the jack stands on the thick part under the car that looks like an assemblance of a frame.one day when i take it to work maybe i can put it on the lift and see if i can manipulate it better.
