Default exhaust question-flowmasters.

hey i have an 90 gt and am in the market for exhaust,so far i have the bbk 2.5 offroad h pipe.so now the stock exhaust is smaller and am looking at flowmaster kits.the question i have is what is the difference between the delta flow 40 series and the regular 40 series.i love that classic mustang with flows sound and thats what i want.the kits i see either have delta flow 40s or super 44s and i dont like the super 44s.any input is appreciated.i would rather not just have 2 mufflers welded in i want 2.5 all the way thanks.

the delta flows are designed to be quieter on the inside of the car while keeping the loudness outside, they also claim to make more power because the exhaust is routed through them more efficiently. I don't recall hearing the 44's but i think they're a newer muffler and probably sound the same or better.

research it a little and it may lead you to the fact one is a 2 chamber muffler vs a 3 chamber..I can't remember which right now

the 40 series are two chamber and the 50 series are 3 chamber, not sure what the 44 is...

ya see i called a few shops in the area and they are wanting around $250 just to remove the stock mufflers and weld in 40 series,i figured at $320 i can order a kit and install it myself and have all new piping as well.but i guess im just going to leave the 2inch stock piping in the back so i can have the sound i want.
