Yes, I did. Everything else is in very good shape. I happen to have a used one on standby. It is either that or rebuild the one it has. Mustang parts aren't that hard to find.

If you are gonna drive it around alot I would get a smaller carb. An 850 is way to big for a 302. I would also swap the intake for a dual plain like a rpm or rpm air gap. With that electric fan I would do a 3g alt upgrade but I thiink you have a post on that already. I would take the time to clean up that mess in the engine bay too. Everything is cluttered all to one side and it looks like butt. Other than that really you have a nice start. What do you plan on doing with it though? Complete daily driver? A track monster?

Tranny first, work out the driveability issues. For some reason people don't mind driving around in a car that makes 200 different noises and is unreliable just because it makes a decent bit of power and can in a straight line quickly, despite being unable to stop quickly or take turns quickly.

Trans, charging system would be the first on my list in your shoes.

I plan on using it as a daily driver and weekend warrior. The trans will be the first thing on the list to do. I am not that worried about the interior but am looking for ideas. My question here is why change the carb?

you don't need a carb that big... 650 is sufficient.

and 50resto.com isn't just for interior stuff, they have lots and lots of stuff.
