You can't really run any smaller than a 235 on a 9 inch rim..that's stretching it already. You say the rims are rubbing so why change the tires?..Get some rack limiters and that should fix you up in the front. You can get them from any major mustang supply house or your local ford dealership Ford part number N804842-S for around 10-15 bucks and a 5 min. install..As for the rears 275s are about the max you can run in the back without minor fender mods but if they aren't rubbing leave them.

245/45/17x9s on the front and 275/40/17x9s on the rear will tuck in nicely and maintain correct tire rotational speed

ive got 17x9 bullits and my fronts grind on my A arms, its a wheel, not a tire issue, and youre already risking pulling the tire off the rim as is,, get 245s, and either live with it, or get rack limiters

i went to a tire shop and they said going up to 245's on the front would still cause grinding on the arms. they mentioned spacers to give more room when turning since its allowing more clearance. i hope this works. unfortunately this is the way i bought it and will have to manage until i get paid. my only concern is how the front wheels sit in the wheel well and i want to avoid rubbing on the lip when spacers are on the front. i need this fixed. i cant parallel park or full turn. feedback is appreciated. thanks

as me and fuzzydice already mentioned..rack limiters are a cheap and easy fix to your problem...awhole lot cheaper and safer than wheel spacers..

they are plastic washers that clip on your steering rack..They limit the amount of travel your wheels are able to do between left and right lock(turning the wheel all the way either direction)this will keep the inner rim lip from contacting the a-arm.Your turning radius is slightly reduced but you'll get used to it quick and its better than tearing up nice rims!
