if I knew I could build a turbo for around what I would get out of the kenne bell, I would sell you mine.
everyone is high risk on insurance when driving an 03 cobra.lol
but seriously, if you can find a kenne bell for about 1500 in good shape, I think you would be happier with it.

I would go with the Vortech. Add an 8 rib pulley system, 2.95 SC pulley, UPR boost master pipe and say hello to 13-16psi. I run this and make 15psi on stock internals with 0problems. A Kennebell does sound good under acceleration. But the Vortech at idle sounds like a jet. I love it. And you do have mnore potential with a centri blower vs. a roots.

My kenne bell is no where near as loud as you think with a 6lb. pulley. Also, my car is no where near the times of NoG095GT. Plus, he could always put a shot on it coming off the line to make up for any launch lag.
The kenne bells are more fun to drive on the street because of not having to rev the car to 3500 to build boost. Same as the turbo.
Even if I put a larger crank pulley, heads and cam on my car, I still wouldn't be around 7.20s in a full weight convertable.
It is all in what you want to do with the car.

First, I made a typo. I meant that a centri has more overall potential than a Twinscrew not a screw type like an eaton. Although it still probably has more potential than an eaton as well. As for having lag, I have 0 lag. It's nothing like a turbo. With my small 2.95 SC pulley and huge powerpipe, the centri just winds up at any gear, any speed. Although I do have an auto which keeps any lag to the bare minimum, unlike a manual which would have to buil boost after each shift. Tim Drip is right, boost does not spool up right off of idle. I start making boost at about 3000rpm and hitting 15psi right around 5800rpm. That 2800rpm goes by pretty quickly. As for my torque curve, I make peak 431rwtq at 4400rpm, but I am well over 380rwtq by 3600rpm I believe(I have to look at my graph, but I am currently out of town). So the car likes to rev; but with 4.10 gears and a decent amount of torque, the car just moves. As for my 7.5 eight time, I am 100% sure that it would run a 7.2-7.3@95-97. The problem is, at the strip the auto would not shift into OD(ended up being a mistune on my part), so I had to let off of the gas for it to shift. I know I am sounding like a bench-racer, but it's true. Plus I am ordering a meth kit in the next fwew weeks and am going to aim for 450-500rwhp. And for the car being an AODE, I'd say that would be pretty impressive. Overall, I am satisfied with the Vortech. i agree with Tim Drip. I think the Kennebell would be great for a street use. Boost instantly=a lot of fun. But I could not justify the entry price for the Kennebell. I paid a total of $2100(w/powerpipe) and am making 15psi. And I do not mash on the throttle every moment, so my car can withstand a few 6000rpm blasts once in a while.

and not all turbos lag, my motor sees 4psi just sitting on the line, and thats with peak boost around 7-8psi right now. im sure itll see more when the boost is cranked up
