If I was him I wouldn't call you back. Those blue book prices aren't that reliable. Prices vary from location to location. Rust has a huge effect on price. If his is mint w/o rust and he is the original owner that carries more weight with me. Now if the owner is a teenager I would walk away from it. Low balling a guy on the first day he puts it in the papers isn't a good idea. I would have asked him what is the best he would do given this and that.

hmmm..so a few different opinions here and there. aight guys, once again thanks for the advice. i didnt mean any disrespect by low-balling but i guess ur right MaxEvian. time will tell tho. i know being patient is the key. i couldnt tell if he was a teenager or not. he said he owns a shop and sells alot of them, kinda like buys and flips em.
he said no rust, all original, never beat on/raced/modified, 2nd owner, new paint, great clutch, no service records, original miles, new headlights. said he works on them all the time tho and knows the market will bring more than the $4,000 i offered. like i said, time will tell.
maybe its not for me tho, some friends of the family own a mustang shop in Byron, GA (Mustang Central), and im just planning on going 347 stroker n/a with the works while im on deployment so i have a fresh rice killer waiting for me when i get home

Car looks really great for a 91 and 89k miles is low for a car that's almost 20 years old... Doesn't matter if you're talking about a Mustang or any other car. I think 4,500 would be a good deal for that much unmolested car, especially if it's free of rust and the paint's nice.
