have you ever crossed out a stater if so then do that if it turns over find your bad connection but if you cross it and clicks again then its time to find you broken ground. another way they did it back in the day they took a switch and 2 wires, connected one wire to your battery an then to the switch, then took the other wire connected it straight to the ign. wire and when you flip/push the switch your car should oll over if not look into grounding the wire and if it still doesnt work its the starter has sat so long that the solniod does not previde enough power to in gauge it. No, there is only one connection on the starter. It will have a nut on a stud like the connection on the solenoid.

You don't jumper to the wire, but to the terminal the wire came off of. The jumper will energize the solenoid.

actually your wrong it's just a bolt it's not a chevrolet

negative, mine just went 2 days ago and the engine would not crank, or anything, no pre-ignition lights or power to the windows or A/C

OK got it started now having another problem. When i start the car it sounds like the engine is backfiring through the intake.

OK got it started but now it seems to backfire through the intake and i don't know why that would happen replaced the idle air control valve today but no change

have you jumped your solonoid yet?

just hold a screwdriver across the two posts to jump it. see if it gets your starter going.
