302/306 SHORT BLOCK
So as all my projects go , one thing led to another and the motor is out of my 89 vert, the good.....I uncovered most of the pecker tracks.....the bad, block was .060 and had a retro fit roller cam in a roller block with stock lifters...wtf??? anyway upon taping out pistons, I had 6 of the 8 pistons whose top ring was broken and mains on crank were copper and worn.......so needless to say, I'll be needing a new short, block, I have a spare roller block I could do up but 1000+ is not looking appealing nor feasible.........anyone know of a good place to buy a roller short block?? or anyone have a My loss is your gain deal??..lol (must be local for this option)

Got one out of my uncle's '92. He dropped a valve 6 years ago and the short block's been sitting since. Just one piston that's bad, the rest are good and so is the crank. After a hot tank, honed, polished crank, new main/cam bearings and rings you'd be all set. Shipping to ya would probably run 150 ish (Canadian). I know it's a long shot but just throwing it out there.

I could fix that block cheap and quick but it has .200 dome pistons and would put compression back up around 11 to 1, never had detonation issues with my carbed motor and that but don't wanna take a chance on the is efi bird, I just wanna bolt it all together and let the ecm do it's magic......this is gonna be a tame idle smooth pump gas cruiser

yeah I know, I saw them, i WANT AS STEP up from those, I would like 2 valve relief forged pistons in the block but they are pricey
