Default 302 Cobra

my buddy is getting rid of a 302 out of a cobra and i've been pointed to the mustang forum for some help. i am a truck guy but i want more horsepower and from what i've seen and heard a mustang motor is a better bet than the 302 in my truck. is there a difference between a regular 302 and a 302 out of a mustang cobra? also i plan on getting some 2.02 heads, headers, performer RPM intake and a edelbrock 600cfm carb as well as a cam im just not sure what i want... any help would be appreciated ..will there be a noticeable difference with the different heads and motor or will i just be out 400 bucks for the running motor and heads? suggestions on things for power adders? i would like to stay away from superchargers and turbos because this is for my street/mud truck.. thanks guys, adam

heads, cam, roller rockers and intake are all different for the cobra vs the mustang motor

+1 not to mention the pistons will probably need to be noticed if you're running a head with 2.02 intake valves unless you go with the Twisted Wedge.
