Default rebuild kit

ya does any1 know where i can get a rebuild kit for my 89 gt if so could u please post a link im not looking for anything crazy im just going back to stock i just wanted to freshin it up

well it was having low oil pressure so while im in there im replacing cam bearings rod bearings and main bearings block is cleaned the bore is still good so i wanna rering it hone it out new oil pump timing chain etc..

alright how good are there products in lets say the 329$ kit or should i go with the better kit like i said im not s/c it or turbo so its gonna stay pretty much stock

umm im still debating but most likely just keeping stock bore but it depends on what my machine shop is gonna charge me to bore it over and what not thats y i was wondering on what kits u guys and gals thought would be my best bet

If you're gonna keep the stock bore, I would get a kit without pistons. Your pistons are forged and those $329 kits have hyper pistons...a downgrade.


Talk to your machine shop...you should be able to get rings and bearings through them and you can always buy a timing set and oil pump separately. I think my timing set was 34 and change and my oil pump was like 30ish.
