Definitely, plus if you like to carve corners at all, a BB will really throw the weight distribution off on a 1-1/2 ton Fox-4.

Keep the car as light as possible, use the 302 block.
Use a stroker kit and bring it to347, make some torque with it.Torque is what makes the car go down the road....

I was kind of torn between sticking with the 302 and stroking it to a 347 or building a 351w based motor. Well I've now got a 351w sitting on an engine stand in my garage. It's going to be a 408. It's not going to cost me anymore to build this (besides the $75 I paid for the complete engine) aside from the headers, new motor mounts and oil pan than it would to build the 347 that I was going to build. the 351w also has a much stronger block and you can get more cubes out of it. The swap is a lot easier than one would think.

The bad part is that you put about 90# more on the front end. Fox body cars had about 57% of the wieght on the front anyway so distribution gets way bad.....
