Default Mustang Crate engine websites?

anybody have any suggestions for a website that sells crate engines that would fit into a 95 mustang? Also if i buy a new crate engine lets say a 351 would i need a new transmission or anything else like a new differential to hold up the new power?

if you go 351w, plan on blowing your trans pretty quick.

probably also going to want to strengthen the rear end
get a cowl hood(cus a 351 is pretty tall)
and be prepared to spend $1000-$1500 just to get the stuff you need, to properly convert to 351w

Most crate engines you will see you will have to swap the timing cover over with what you have along with the oil pan and pick up tube. How much do you have to spend on this build?

so they started making 302 blocks again or are these left over?

Also, you would probably come out a lot better just building a junkyard motor. The crank and rods can hold up to what the block can hold.

Get on a local car forum and get some names for local builders, and have them build you you long block. It'll be WAYYYYY cheaper then a crate motor. and you'll actually have someone to call up and talk to with any questions. But I'd stick with a 302 based. My newest engine cost me a total of 1500 and thats a 347, but I did get a new block/rods from my builder for cheaper than stores and I already had a crank. Then buy a nice h/c/i, and your trans may last a while depending on the state it's in now and what you plan on doing with it after. the rear is the same way.

You DEFINITELY should do that. $5000 can buy you a MUCH nicer engine than that gt40 crate. i think im about $4500 deep into my 347

As long as you don't get crazy buying the best of everything as far as parts, I don't see why you couldn't build a 393 and have everything for it for that. You will just need to do something about a transmission. I would go with a c-4.
