cfm does matter, it matters alot, a ford focus has dual fan, your car will over heat if you use it.the fan doesnt run constant so it must cool everything effectively or it will always run, and in your case fry your alt possible. the problem with the fan i see is the blades and the size of it, how much of the radiator it covers. the mark and contour fans cover everything, the taurus covers alot too.

^ the way everybody sees it if you're gonna spend the money, spend it right and do it the right way the first time.

dont assume just because its ok for now that its fine 5, 10 years from now, its better to overcompensate now, then find out you under compensated later

this.

the point i love these forum's is i can make a educated buy before hand, based on other ppl's experiences.

you threw that into the wind because you thought you where getting a deal. IDK, that fan could work out great, i just think you should have listened a little better.

oh well.

ya well, daddy always said I didnt listen. LOL

Actually, I got one response that was against the fan, from you army, and it was a statement like "I think its crap". I didnt really take that seriously.

But its all good. If for some reason it doesnt work , thats life when you buy off the internet from people you dont know. Been there done that , took that risk before, will probably take that again.

want the truth? I think it looks like crap, and its overpriced, the blades look too thin, the shroud is too small, and for $90 you'll get BETTER cooling capacity with the junkyard fans mentioned, which have been proven to be better.

why take the risk? seriously?

The fan was purchased as the 5.0 fan and I believe it was the link I gave him which came back as the JEGs fan. I paid about $140 + shipping. I asked for $70 + $20 shipping (had to buy a stupid $5 box too). This fan was used to cool a very very tight engine compartment that also had two turbos and the car never over heated (94 300ZX TT) even at 140 mph then stopping and sitting at a stop sign it didn't over heat. If that 3.0L block running 28lbs didnt over heat after a run like that I don't think a Mustang will (unless he runs race fuel for city driving). It was sold as is and was working when it came off the Z which has been parked in a garage for 3 years. The fan only saw 100 miles of use and was removed, along with everything else in the car (its at IPP in texas right now getting tuned for 650HP and the rad is being replaced with a bigger one). I never had any problems with it and I don't see the application it was designed for having any issues either. Arrived today, install it and let us know how it works!
