splice a fuel line?
I was takin' the rusty tank off... well the quick disconnect, whatever you call that, on the return side- the lines had fused together right threre. I had the coupler free but it just tore the line right off on the engine side, in between the two raised spots.
The line has considerable corrosion on it in many spots under the floor of the car, but I don't want to replace the whole thing right now if I don't have to.
I'm not ready to put the new tank on yet, but I should be in a couple days. I need to know if I can splice that spot with a couple inches of high pressure hose(not braided) and some hose clamps- or am I going to blow myself up running the car like that?
It's an 88 GT with 5.0 HO.
