Default Need buying advice on modded 87 lx

I am new here and your advice on this car I am looking at. The car is an 87 lx 5.0 with 120km ( yes canadian) 5 speed origanal paint with no rust or very little. It' s got an edeelbrock upper and lower intake ,1.72 roller rockers, x pipe with flomaster 40's, 155 HF fuel pump, shorty headers, adjustable FPR, 65 mm TB, complete accel ignition, 2-12inch electric fans, Ford HD clutch kit, front and rear sway bars, frame conectors, and control arms with brass bushings. My question is do you think this car is done right being it still uses the speed density system. I also noticed on the top of the corners of the winshield there was what seemed to be repairs from where the roff met the pillars, is this a common place for the weld to break. ( what the owner said)

Also just out of curiousity what numbers do yu think this would pull. I know the car was able to break loose fairly easy in 3rd in very dry conditions on stock tires.

on stock tires a 2.73 geared car break them loose, they are super light and NEED cheater slicks to do anything, typical 60' times on street tires are 2.20-2.40 typical sixties on a mickey thompson et street are 1.6-1.7

every tenth of 60 foot is worth 2 tenths on the 1/4 mile ET

i think it's capable of running in the 13.30-13.60 range but only on a sticky tire.... street tires ?? you'll melt all the way and turn high 14's

Never heard of brass bushings being used. Brass if a really soft metal and doesn't seem like it would take a beating too well. The damage at the a pillars is not a common thing. Do a carfax on the VIN.

So i should be worried about the pillars. The thing I don't understand is the rest of the car has original faded paint so it is really obvious. Also I forgot to ask would putting the 3.73 in mess up the speedo , it is like 30 km/h off at least. How would you go about fixing it.

Change the speedo gear in the trans. The pillar thing may be where the seem for the roof and the a pillar come together and the lead filler is used.

I am just wondering if someone made a bad attempt at trying to smooth out the sem or is it actualy structural. I am also looking at a 95 with an intake exhaust and headers. I really don't know bout the 95 I am not really into that body style.

I have seen one or two Mustangs do that at the A piller, it is not common though. The other mods seem fine to me, if you want to get into doing a cam and heads swap, look into a MAF conversion, it is not hard.
