looking at buying car tomorrow, found out was in accident previously
Im going to look at a 93LX hatchback tomorrow, now i found out apparently when it was brand new the 1st owner was teaching her daughter how to drive, and drove it into a ditch and it damaged the front fender well. The seller told me it was over $2000 damage, and icbc fully replaced the front fender well the clips and everything damaged. Now i want to turn it into a street/strip car.. now my question is, is there a chance this could have some kind of effect on the car, some kind of permanent chassis/frame damage? or anything that may hinder the cars performance or driveablilty on the drag track?

Not likely, if it was fully repaired and pulls straight, id imagine it would be okay, just when you go, check ALL around the area for stress fractures, Waves, creases etc. If youre turning it into a drag car, chassis stiffening is a priority, and if you run a cage, you can easily brace this area and not have any problems. However, if there are signs of damage (cracked/creased unibody, etc) id look for something else
