i'm takin your advice,have patientce.i only make mistakes once but there is allot mistakes to make for the first time.anyway i plugged it and won't idle well.sits around 700 then surges up down,and every now and the dies.drove it for about half hour,diffrent speeds some highway.how long does it take for computer to figure out what's going on?

did you reset it by pulling the battery terminals off and touching them together

disconnect the battery for 10 min, and then do a base idle reset

well she's running good.pulled the battery cables capped the intake vacuum port,then took it for a good ride.another problem was when i capped the vacuum the rpm's would drop low enough that it would stall.upped the idle 300 rpm and it's good.got the cold air on it's way anyway and the shift kit is going in teusday.thanx for all your help addermk2,mjr46.keep your typing fingers ready,the bearings in the rear end is next!!(it'll go smoother .........I hope).
