couple probs on new top end
just put in a bbk 70mm tb,cobra intake,gt-40 heads,bbk equauls,o/r x pipe.took out the a/c and smog.first off drove her all day long.set the fuel 39 psi and the idle by my ear and four other fox guys.problem is that everyonce in a while on slowing down my car kicks bucks with the engine like it still wants to go.the cam is 2040 (ecam) and has a good crisp lumpy sound on idle it is usually idling at 900 - 1000 but again the odd time it will want to idle at 7-800 which gets pretty choppy.i have an auto car.is this the computer learning curve i've heard about?or something wrong.
the other is running a shorter belt without any delete kits.i just took the a/c and smog out.as i found out today this won't work with the belt tensioner as now matter what siz belt i run it allways makes contact cause p/s pump is to low.si i took the tensioner off and pulled the alt over with a bar and tighted her down works and looks good for now.should i stop being a cheap *** and buy delete kits? or is there a way around this?.or leave it?.

okay,timing was way out.i'm at 14 deg and she runs good................but!! another stupid mistake i made was getting rid of the charcoal canister.my buddy told me i didn't need it so i capped the line and left the intake port open on my manifold.............and i thought my stock intake would be big enoough to feed my motor.i've been hearing vacuum leak the whole time,turns out it is using that port for extra air cause if i cap it my car won't stay running unless i take the filter out.
so i have ordered a fender mount cold air (mac) and an a/c delete (frpp) but won't be here for a week.how long can i run with this port open?
will it lean out my mixture cause it's coming in after my maf?
is my stock maf going to restrict flow?
what belt size do i need for a smog removal and relocated power steering pump with underdrive pullies?

thanx,but i'm just worried about it trying to get air from somewere else.(pcv etc) can't park it for another week.when i plug it, it fights to keep running and i loose the crackle out of the exhaust,that's why i'm guessing it starving for air.but will plug it again try driving it.sorry for the rookie questions but thanx for the help.will post pics when i can get it to work (yes i read addermk2 thread) did everything but won't bring the images over.i know computers less than cars.but gettin there.
