Default TFS VS AFR

Ok i've done my homework, but i still have some questions?
im building a 331 Stroker for my foxbody, and it has come down to AFR 185's (pn 1388) or the TFS 185's (pn TFS-51400010-C01). my question is, does TF make a head comparable in price to the AFR? how does it flow in comparison? what is the max lift you can run without flycutting the pistons?
i know that the AFR 1381 is the competition package and it still doesnt flow as well as the TFS, but i really dont want to spend $1800 on a set of heads.

i'm using a Comp Cam 35-518-8 cam.

any suggestions?

I run afr 185's on my 347, however I have done a lot to mine, like upgraded valvetrain completely from springs, locks, retainers, pockets enlarged and added 7/16 studs, so I have close to 2k invested in mine for the money TFS fac heads are what you want or afr 185's here are the tfs fac heads..http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFS-51400015/ why not run the xe282 in your stroker?? I ran it in mine the 274 is one step below it...heck I still have mine and all the valvetrain in a box to run such, package deal cam and springs for 225.00 if interested.....anyway I run a custom cam in my 347 now

i forgot about the FAC heads...thanks for reminding me. what do you mean by "TFS fac heads are what you want or afr 185's" those are exactly what im looking at, but i cant decide on which ones to blow my cash on.

go for the tfs FAC heads, the afr's are good heads but have no room to grow, tfs do if you decide to port in the future

The FAC heads would work awesome on a 331 with the right cam. Don't be afraid to pull to 6,500-7,000rpm

you're building a 331 stroker and not taking the time to fly cut the pistons?

if he's building a stroker most of the aftermarket pistons shouldn't need to be flycut with a 2.02 valve head....at least mine didn't they were probe srs pistons I believe.

i bought a short block that already has flat top pistons in it. it is a DSS 331 Shortblock. i am not opposed to the idea of fly cutting pistons just curious what i can run without doing such.
