Default 1/4 miles times from last weekend

I went to Atlanta Dragway and finally got to test my new combo. When the car was pretty much stock, I ran right about 15.0 at the same track. After gt40p heads, explorer intake, tfs1 cam, I pulled a best of 14.3 with a 2.2-2.3 60'. This is in a 91Gt with 5 speed.

One of the guys I went with had a 96Gt with PI heads, his best was about 14.7, also a 5 speed.

Not sure if this is a slow track or I'm bad at launching but I was expecting better times from both cars.

Also, I weighed in right at 3200 lbs, the 96 was 3350.

get that 60ft down and you will be in the 13's easily. Do you have the stock rear gears? What tires?

It was pretty consistent at about ~99mph, could not break 100 for the life of me.

Your times aren't bad, but drop that 60ft and you should hit mid 13's pretty easily. But weather and temp will also affect those times as well.

I am trying to find out how to launch with the 5spd still. I think I may have been focusing too much on my r/t instead of focusing on getting a good launch. Next time I will try to slip the clutch a bit more and bring my rpm up and see what I can do. What is a decent 60foot with street tires? I know I only have 225s...

Remember, the r/t has nothing to do with your time. You could sit at the line for an hour and still run a 14.3. It's more used for bracket racing.

Hard to say, but you need to take into account elevation, temperature, and humidity. Things which should be all good in arizona.
