Default 4.10's are in

I bought my 90lx back in may, its all stock besides flowmaster mufflers, K&N, and C&L 73mm MAF, Its an aod car and had 2.73 gears.
Saturday i had the 4.10 gears installed that i bought a couple weeks ago, and wow what a huge difference its a totally different car now, I also did a trac loc rebuild.

Today i ordered a set of summit chrome shortys and an off road x-pipe, Ill have them on in a couple of weeks and head back to the drag strip and see what kind of times i can knock off.
I ran it in stock form with the 273s and ran a best of 13.3 at my local 1000ft track.

and just for the courious, At 70mph in OD im at 2400rpm
with 25.5" rear tires and 4.10 gears.
3rd gear is at 3500rpm @ 70mph

why do i highly doubt u ran 13.3 with 2.73 gears in a mostly stock auto car.

i bet even with the 4.10's a 13.3 would be hard to achieve

not trying to bust your ***** but it just isn't adding up...

edit: mike hit it on the head

i'm at 2400rpm @ 75mph with my 3.55s, are you sure you fully corrected for your 4.10 gear?

Can you post a vid of it or something. I am thinking of getting 4.11s for my car as the next mod. And 2400 RPM at 70 seems awful low to me. I am at 2000 RPM with 2.73s.

How much of difference did the gears make for you in terms of acceleration/highway passing etc ?

Thanks.

acceleration is a HUGE, HUGE difference from 2.73 to 4.10's.

might not show anything incredible at the track, but the SOTP (seat of the pants/*** dyno) tells a huge difference. Atleast it was for be back when my car had a AOD and i went from 2.73 to 4.10
