Question Nobody knows or what?

How bad of a "vibration" can you get from a worn tailshaft bushing in an AOD?

I just want to decide whether I'm gonna replace that, or save that money if I need a new transmission. Who's had a bad one of these?

X2 did you see if the ujoints are bad.Because that would defiantly cause a vibration.

Take the time to take the drive shaft out. This is the best way to feel if the universal joints are bad.

umm. why? thats like taking a ball joint out of the a-arm to see if its bad. you get more play out of it if the structure holding it is solid.

I just put new u-joints in there.

It's not at the pinion or rear end(and this did exist before I rolled around with a .035 backlash hehehe)

There is enough play where the front of the driveshaft hooks up that you could feel it- and I can actually see it. It's bareley visible(and I have wicked good sight), but I know there shouldn't be any at all right there.

The "slam" only occurs under light or no load shifting(mostly upshift), but vibration is an understatement for when it does.
