Default Off season / Winter storage ?

Anyone have any pointers on winter storage. I plan to run my car for about 3-4 months a year. I was thinking of putting the car on jacks and hooking up a trickle charger. Im new to this so any ideas please. What is a good brand of charger ?

If you plan not to drive it at all just some fuel stabalizer and start it every three weeks and bring it up to operating temp, I don't run mine much in the winter but when the roads are clean and clear and weather is clear, I take it out for a short drive, no reason you couldn't either

My car is just a nice weather/weekend cruiser. My winter storage routine is --full tank w/fuel stabalizer, trickle charger, inflate the tires to max psi, park on plywood, toss a few dryer sheets in the interior (to keep out the rodents, works for me). That's about it!

Feel for you guys, down here on N.C. coast we do not experience a "real" winter.

What is this fuel stabilizer you guys speak of? Whats its purpose? Never heard of it, BTW, I'm form Cali and we never store our cars for the winter, the most we get is a little rain here and there.

Yeah, here in the Northeast I hibernate my cruisers for the winter. When I was younger I didn't have that luxury, but now 40yrs. old husband/father,I can keep my Mustang away from the salt, calcium chloride and the rest of the winter crud.

OK thank you !!! Has anyone run into flat spots on the tires for letting the car sit for months ? I was planning to run it every month just to keep the fluids moving too. The car will be in the garage so most weather conditions will not be a factor.

Just inflate the tires to max psi, you won't flat spot them. That is kinda a thing that used to happen with old bias ply tires, with newer modern tires this really does not happen/
