question on my fox
So I was wondering would it be smart to put new head and intake and a new cam shaft on my 89 stang that has 107k miles on it . or should i buy a new block before i put on the new heads winsor seniors 2.20/1.60 and eddlebrock II intake and a custom cam?
If i do put these on the current motor will i risk damaging them when then engine finally goes?
i beat on the car as it is and i have no current problems. As in beat on, i race the occasional ricer and play with a other friends. The car has no strip use but i do drag vs some people in middletown newyork at the friday night car shows.
Let me know what u think .
Also Would it be smarter to buy a new block and the intake cam and heads then peice them together and just drop that set into the car when the current engine goes?
Add 42lb venoms to the equation also . Add it to every question.
thanks for your time.

As long as the engine is well maintained, then you should have no issue doing an HCI swap with that mileage. I am doing an HCI swap on 130k, but I know that my engine has always been perfectly maintained even while being beat on.
if you are iffy on the condition of the motor, I would go over the motor and check all the vitals just to be safe. Compression check, pull the pan and check for shavings, leak down test. You wont be the first to do a swap on 100k motor, these motors last forvever if well maintained.
