thicker oil will definatly slow things down. i had a guy sell me a supra when i was a kid.changed the oil for the first time and it sounded like a diesel and smoked like crazy.put 15/40 in it and it slowed the smoke down allot.

Before the flu nailed me in the head Friday night - I went ahead and bought a can of Engine Restore, and added it to the oil, which was a quart low anyway - so I ran a heavier oil through it as well. Haven't had time to really run it much since then - was hobbled up with a fever for three days, and now the autumn drizzling rain has set in and is expected to last the entire week. I'll let you guys know if that helped. If not, we may have to look at those valve seals....
