Is the car stock? If it has aftermarket parts, or has a chip or has been tuned it may be running rich and thats the fuel you are smelling. Does the car run fine? If you are running dumps I can understand, if your previous car was a prius i can also understand why you think it smells lol. Little more info about the car please

Best I can Tell Stock, Running Cats and it seems to run fine love the get and go! And My other vehicle is on the other spectrum from a prius its a F350 7.3 Power stroker no fuel saving or green house crap there LOL
