Need help with bogging after I changed idle
Well my car was idle pretty high at like 1400. I lowered it to about 1100 to 1000 and now when I tap the gas pedal it kind of skips. Like its bogging. The exhuast has a more exhuasty smell to it now. Throttle response sucks also. I was thinking I need to adjust the timing on the car. Me and my dad messed around with the timing before but I just recently found out we did it wrong b/c we didnt disconnect the snout connector. Needless to say I have no idea what the timing is. Car starts up and idles fine, but like I said when I press the gas pedal and get the rpms up to about 4000 and let them drop to about 2000 then tap the pedal again it misses or bogs. I am new to mustangs also. Car is stock with bbk intake, msd distributor and wires. Nothing special

first thing you need to do is pull the spout, clean the balancer to see numbers and set timing at 10-13 degrees base, and how did you set idle??? you didn't turn the set screw for the throttle blade on the TB did you??? Idle speed motor controls idle, you'll need to perform a base idle reset if so. found in the tech articles here
