Fox body gushing thread. My apologies in advance. LOL
So, I've got the Nyghtmare, a 5.0 vert, and we're at one of two car shows I attended today, (the late one that ended with a huge cruise night) and something occurred to me. While Mustangs are wildly popular across the generations, (people and Stang gens) the Foxes have a HUGE following. My own Fox grew on me and I love it, but I honestly didn't realize so many people love them. I even had a guy that owns an 08 Shelby GT500 all but tackle me to ask about my car and was really impressed with it. Talk about stroking the old ego!
Shockingly, most of the guys today/tonight actually realized I knew what I was talking about when I'd tell them what mods we've done, approximately how much HP, how fast, etc etc. They realized I also know how to handle it and drive it. In the past, I have had men turn and walk away, suddenly disinterested when they found out a mere woman owned it. Almost like they figured since I'm a girl, I obviously just bought it as it is and know nothing about it, or I paid someone to do all the work and still don't know jack about my own car, so why talk to me... (Talk about pazzing me off too!)
Anyway! There were soooo many guys said, Man, I love the 1st gens, the new gens (etc) but I can't afford them - I have a little Fox body hatch (or coupe, or convertible,) with the HO 5.0 and I'm so ready to get it fixed up... And then they'd tell me their dreams for their own cars.
So many people can relate to those, more than I thought.
I'll quit gushing now. I just had to say all that. Sorry guys!

Hey, I'm serious! This was the FIRST TIME I've ever had the majority of men not walk away from me or my car when they find out its mine... and I've been showing for two years, and sometimes more than one car at a show! I have been known to have two (My 91 and my 06) or more (my husband's 69 coupe or 68 T-bird) at local shows. *big eyes* I can thank you guys here though because I've learned a lot of stuff that just playing with bolt-on mods in my husband's shop wouldn't have taught me. ;-)
