How much is too much for a 95 GT 5 Spd drop top?

Well they were willing to drop the price to $4K, but I ran an autocheck and it said the car had a water damage title in 96. Carfax doesn't have this info listed.
This sucks! When I wasn't serious about a mustang they were easier to find
