this is what you want to see right here.

wow that was pretty much a perfect launch. the front end rose enough to transfer the weight but didnt lift the tires and the car went straight as can be

im still up in the air about having a 26" tire, 4.10's and a 5 speed.

my first gear is 3.35 in the trans, so first gear is very very short.

in my case, i think a 28" tire might make me 60' better, as i wont be shifting right at that point.

still in the air about it though. ill see how the car does after the head/cam swap, and my current 26"x9.5x15 street radials hold.

best 60 ft for me so far is 1.9 :/ might be a weight thing too, im at 3500 with me in the car. (hopefully can drop about 150lbs with the head/cam swap, removing a/c and such)

I had a 27" tire back when I had a T5 and 4.10s. 1st was super short like you said. I think I was shifting at the 60ft mark but it is hard to tell. If I still had the T5, I would try a 28" tire.

that's what im saying.

not only is the gear just WAY to short to the point where im shifting just after the tree's, before the 60 foot, slowing me down, but with me adding a lot more power its going to make it harder to get out of the hole without spinning, and having to shift like a mad man just to 60 worth a damn.

I think ill try 28"x10.5x15 tire's next. as these are on there last leg anyway.

I think 28x10.5 would be the way to go with t-5 gearing what it is. That way you'
ll still have something left for the top end also........

that's what im thinking. and with the nitrous use on my car, a 26" tire would just be plan silly.

correction, my trans has a 3.27 first gear so practically identical. I guess I will need a 28" tire.
