Default A/C delete question

I have a drop top 92 and the ac doesnt work, now should i remove and route around the pump with a shorter belt or should i buy one of the ac eliminator pulleys? This is strictly a summer car and i really dont want or need the ac.
Also the previous owner had removed the power steering just so you guys know, incase that would factor into the decision.

is it hard to turn the steering wheel? i love my power steering. id lose the a/c way before the ps. lol. now if you install a ribbed water pump pulley you can just do away with the a/c and run a belt over the crank, alt, and water pump. OR try just using a short belt around the crank, water pump, and alt. ive seen that done on alot of drag race 5.0's

You will have to get a standard rotation water pump if you want to run the belt over the top of its pulley. You could run the belt from the alt UNDER the WP to the crank. I have seen this done but make sure you check your temps as the belt isnt making a whole lot of contact with the WP pulley. Or they make a pulley to go where your AC compressor was. Good luck
