i dont live at that place i just have my 2 extra cars parked there. Im not a tweeker, i might be ADD ADHD but not a tweeker, infact i havent drank in a year since i am actually a alcoholic. so you can call me a drunk if you like but not a tweeker. its a stereo type i understand. its my friends place he has about 10 various fords there that he has plans for and never does anything with pretty sad. and he just brought home another a 85 mark VII. i just own the jeep and the stang the rest is his junk. hes not a tweeker either just a old 65 year old ford nutt :P
i live in apt and go to tech school so this is a place i can work on stuff, uh hhhmm i mean hack on stuff prosc50 :P
maybe when i finish tech school (hack school) i can afford the house with a 2 bay garage away from the ford compound, lol

you might say that... i wanted to go a while back, but i wasnt serious enough. now i am. jan 2nd is my second quarter so i have a ways to go. The hardest choice was auto tech or auto body collision; still have to eventually decide on certificate or degree.

today i started on rebuilding some 3g taurus alternators. these are the 130amp ones. both are remand units from 3.0 taurus cars with the short ears. my current one is going out and i couldnt pass these up so i bought 2 since i dont often run across ones with the reman tags still intact this clean.
i took the pulleys off using impact, then i undid the 8mm case bolts and seperated the case.one turned out to be really clean the other had some chips on the wire enamel so thats getting a fresh coat. new bearings and put it all back together. im thinking of painting one of them just for fun. anodized blue would be nice but i have yet to see a paint that looks right out of a can.

today i installed the 3g alt only to find out my stupid smog pump had a seized bearing or something. well since it hasnt been hooked up in years the last thing i wanted to do was buy another one or a expensive idler pulley so i adjusted the position of the tensioner and bought a 76.5" belt for $16 at oreillys and it works perfect. tomorrow i can finally remove that stupid smog pump!!
heres pics, and if anyones interested in doing this you probably cant use the same belt i did unless you have the same BBK underdrives. when i did the underdrives my stock belt didnt work anymore even though the kit said it would, anyways just a side note.
