where to get a custom chip burned?

Hey man....if you go back in the TRS thread of yours, I told you you needed a MAF for them 24's.....
Anyway, here is a good place to get one, probably the best price around and it is what I am running.

I know, Kyle. I'm just making double-darn sure that this is what needs to be done.
Not saying at all that you don't know your stuff, I just needed to make sure that it's what everyone else does and works. Someone at work told me a chip is required, but now I see that he was blowing smoke.

No, I understand. I went back and read your thread again and I just said you needed a tune to run your stock MAF, I didn't tell ya you could get an aftermarket MAF.
Something else I just wanted to point out since we are on the topic, I wonder if part of your problem is the postion of your MAF right next to the the TB. You should post a picture on here and see if others think it might be an issue. I know on Mustangs, they are located further away and I am sure air flow effects how the MAF works.
here is mine

Yeah, that'll get redone in the springtime. I'm going to cut a hole on the splash guard and route the intake away from the headers and have the filter behind the headlight assembly. That way, the air will be cooler and I'll have more room to properly mount the MAF sensor away from the TB.

it does create a leak. My 65mm Explorer TB didn't have a port in it for the tube, so I put the breather on. I tried to eliminate the pcv to fix the leak, but this seems to work better even though it isn't right.
When I get around to porting the TB, I will add a port to it so I can fix it.

On a side note, that site you showed me for that MAF, is it legit? It's the cheapest I've been able to find. I'll have to wait a few months to see what the guy at work is going to do to his mustang.

I did that with my old CAI, but I wasn't happy with how it looked. I guess I could weld a nipple on my current CAI....I will have to look at when I get the bug, been to busy with the truck.
On another note, that store is a good place to buy from. I bought my fuel pump and my MAF there. They are one of the few distributors and pass the good prices on to others. Lots of guys here buy parts from them.
