Projectors ARENT needed for HID's.... Have plenty of friends who bought kits, none of which came with projectors..

& HID's ARENT rice on ANY car, they're a nice upgrade to the factory lighting... until you go up to 10k, like on your riced out civic.

With that said, do it. DDMtuning.com has REALLY nice kits, some of my friends bought from there and i will too when i decide to buy them.

I've had people flash me for blinding them with 8k in my 'stang. Just realized that my bulbs were aimed waaay off to the side.

As long as you aim them correctly, you won't blind anyone. I went with 8k and love it. I live in AZ so I drive through dark deserts pretty often. You don't need to upgrade your alternator to get the HIDs. I believe the HIDs actually use less wattage...

And OP give a call to digitalresolutions. They're a sponsor on this site. Very amazing product from them and I'm surprised they haven't been mentioned. Plus their kits have lifetime warrenty.

I installed the 6ks....(Got them off eBay)......and they are PERFECT! They are white with a slight blue (exactly what I was looking for...)

I tell you, even with the new clear lenses I installed with it, the lighting still sucks!?! Much better than stock, but nothing compared to factory HIDs on most new cars...(I am sure if you used projector lenses it would be better, but I personally don't like the look of the projector lenses on foxes...)
