The build of a street machine
Well, I guess i'll start my own teardown and buildup thread on my 94 gt vert. As this will be my first engine pull/build up project. Many questions will be asked and your help will be appreciated.
Shall we skip forward, and to the part where I have already pulled the engine and is sitting on my engine stand. How do i removed this bracket with the pulley tensioner?
what is the best way to remove all this carbon buildup on top of the pistons?

Theres nothing wrong with the bottom end. Its actualy in better shape than I thought. If your wondering why I pulled the engine only for parts that could have gone on with the engine in the car, is because its alot easier to work on it on the stand and the changing of the rear main seal, oil pan gasket, and headers would have been a pain in the rear.
and besides, the beautiful California weather cries for me to be outside in my garage.. take a look at my view from my garage...(i'd hate to be in the midwest)
AND KEEP IN MIND, THIS IS WINTER WEATHER. uh its so chilly outside when its 60*
