Default Help!!! About to buy mustang and something is wrong

Its a 94 GT just like the user name says.
Its an 5spd with 204k miles

The engine with the clutch pushed in revs great doesnt sound like theres on off beat at all.

If I start to pull off and give it gas it feels like Im dragging a 26' trailer behind me. The thing literally has no *****. I dont know if somethings wrong with the trannies gears or what the issue is.

Bad fuel filter?

Oh also the clutch is very hard to push in. Ive had performance clutches before that made it hard to push in but this is a different kind of hard.
If the clutch is not pushed to the floor and I mean standing on it, it makes alil clunk while putting it in 1st.

Keep in mind Ive driven manual mustangs for years, so its not my driving skills LOL

Clutch or clutch cables could be bad. The cables are a very common breaking point, especially if they are the low quality ones.

Also have you owned a v8 mustang before? Sound like every cylinder is firing? Gears ok?

so don't buy it, or at very least take it to a shop and have it looked over, a little spent on a pre-inspection could save you tons if it turns out to be a real lemon.

Yah I agree. Take it to a trusted shop and have them look it over.. it isnt worth the money to buy a (example) $500 car and spend 2 grand fixing it

Oh yea, with it in neutral it revs like a champ and doesnt sound off at all. I know exactly what they should sound like 5.0 and 4.6

You put it in gear and let off the clutch and that thing doesnt want to go anywhere. I bet it would take 9sec to get to 60 and itll get there feeling ROUGH

Cars paint and interior is immaculate, all for 1000

yikes..get it looked over by a shop. See what they say. Could be a clutch problem or the gears on the transmission are just going.

does it sound like the clutch is slipping? is it revving up but not going anywhere?

If you dont think the clutch is slipping. look at the exhaust. see if it still has the original cats on it... If it does, I bet they are clogged up

Yeah, I thought I might have bought a lemon but dang mine is still getting me back and forth to work for now. I would definately not buy that car until its fixed. Would this car be your DD? If so then DEF don't buy it, look for something more reliable.

It doesnt feel like its slipping it feels like its trying to drag 1000lbs of sand lol

Im thinking fuel filter, cats or the gears in the tranny

Any other guesses?
