just saw a notchback Hwy Patrol car
I just saw some news footage of some Hwy patrol cars on the scene of a freeway closure. Then all of a sudden theres a 90's notchback hwy patrol car along with 4 current ones. Ive seen the hwy patrol use Chargers and SS impalas, but never a notchback.

N.C. Highgway Patrol used Mustangs in early 90's. They kept killing the transmission. Now they have Chargers, Crown Victoria, and Cherokee. Never know what they will be using. Makes you look as most are unmarked.

I remember when California Highway Patrol bought a fleet of the 5.0s the first couple of years they came out. "So we can catch speeders better" Ford gave them a good deal on the price as well. Publicity.

Older CHP guys that remember the 5.0's still say they were the best pursuit car they ever had. CHP did have a few LS1 Camaros, but I dunno if they're still around, I haven't seen them in a while, and I think there were only like 10 of them in the entire state. They used them on the highways with minimal turnaround to catch speeding truckers, since they would sometimes have to drive 5-10 miles before they could find somewhere to turn around, then drive back 5-10 miles plus whatever lead the other person had.

If I were to get pulled over by one of those, I'd have more questions for the cop than he would have for why I was speeding there is a fully restored, down to the 12 gauge that comes to the car show at CJ ponyparts, its a former Georgia state trooper car... thing has correct everything!
