Things are backed up with him as of lately, due to health issues from what I have heard.....if you are in somewhat of a rush, I'd explore other options such as www.flowtechinduction.com. otherwise the wait may be undetermined....... ED provides such a service too

IMO, 190 sounds a bit large for a 306 to have any bottom end to it.......

guess you like to go slower for the same amount of money huh?

190 tw FAC's are primo with the right intake and a custom cam.

$1400 + 400 on a stock shortblock and see what happens.

BTW, are you following Russel's NA build? going for a bit of a screamer eh?

yea. i'll actually, prossibly, be buying a complete bottom end from nathan over on sbf. its a very lightweight 306 rotationg assembly 28oz imbalance, blue printed oil pump yadda yadda yadda. its a pretty special bottom end, has lots of extras done to it and tons of machine work. 190 TW FAC's, custom cam TLSR, super victor, proform race carb(or custom carb) 1 3/4 LT's, 3" exhaust, flow through mufflers dumped. probably run around 7.5k rpms. suspension from dave over at team Z. tube k member, rolocated upper control arm, adj lower c/a. drag radials, 4.30 ish gear...it'll scream a lil bit.

With the incorrect valve events (aka camshaft)......yup..... not with the correct camshaft/valve train setup......or do you see Escalades, Yukons, etc witch such a torque problem, even though they have 265 cc heads from the factory on a 6.2L (376 ci) truck engine?

Ed did a great job on my cam. And it was a quick turn around time also. A++++++

170 vs 190 depends on the application. With less than 9.5:1 compression in a road race setup, I'd stay with the 170's if the engine isn't going to operate much over 6k-6.5k rpm. Otherwise with the right cam and some willingness to turn more rpm the 190's will make more power on the top end.
