Default running on boost

I am laying out my plans for my car and am trying to figure out what type of forced induction I want to use. Superchargers are great and all but how cool would it be to have twin turbos forcing air into my 427? what do you guys think? what works best for you?

Cool? Ehh.. it's not that uncommon anymore.. Plus I doubt you need that much power (if built right). Plus you have to wait for it to spool up.

I'd honestly supercharge that 427 but that's just me.

i had a sc, it was great for a while but i wanted more power. now that i have turbos, i will never go back

tony is right, turbo charged mustangs arent that uncommon anymore.....but they never stops a crowd from forming around my car at the track when my hood goes up

but as far as waiting for them to spool, thats not correct. depends on the setup. my vortech made full boost at 4500rpm, the turbos make full boost by 3500

Just wondering if you realize how much money this project of your is going to cost?

Not only do you need the engine, you need a good trans to handle it, a good rear axel, good suspension, cooling, tuning........... Basically a whole new car

I would probably go with a Procharger on a 427

Go for it twin t70s should work for you. As far as the block goes just keep the HP in check. with that many CID it will make HP and lots of it and with the right AR on the turbine side you will not wait for spool for long

i do realize the cost of the build. i was thinking about using the boss 351 block. I will be using a 6 speed trans. the rear is undecided. it will be a new car when i am done. but damn!!!!!!!! it will be cool

cool man, let us know all about it when you do it. I am really interested in the Boss block.

Like said, Turbos or a Procharger is the way to go. That is what I see in most 10.5 classes today.

How fast do you want the car to be? You may come out the best and cheapest by just spraying the **** out of it. My buddies 3200 lb Maverick with Yates heads ran a 6.17 its first past ever down the track without even turning the motor over 5200ish rpm. With a small shot he was in the 5s. This is in a stock block too.
