Gold luk clutch

Gold luk clutch
Before buying my 5.0 the owner put in a high performance gold luk clutch. My syncros went out in my tranny and so I replaced the tranny. The tranny guys said that the clutch was the problem and I had other guys tell me I was slamming gears. If I put the gold clutch back in would I have any problems with the clutch if I wasn't slammin gears? It's not a hydro clutch assembly just a cable and stock pedal assembly. Should I get the quadrant for sixty bucks and replace the stock plastic crap?

The only way I know of that your clutch could CAUSE gear box problems is if it was not disengaging completely. Before your box went bad, was it hard to shift? Especially into first and reverse? If it was, your clutch could be bad. If not, and you don't slam shifts, perhaps the previous owner did the damage but the failure came later.

but if you are going to get an aftermarket quadrant. I strongly suggest the steeda quick release (DONT BUY A TRIPLE OR DOUBLE HOOK QUADRANT)
