intake swap. worth it?

Default intake swap. worth it?

I have an opportunity to pick up a trick flow street heat intake for 250. I now have the explorer gt40 intake. do you guys think it will be worth the swap?

You won't gain a whole lot, but for $250 I'd pick it up.

Id have your lower ported by tmoss over on corral before i bought that intake.... it'd be cheaper, and probably out perform that trickflow intake.

i already talked to tmoss about that. it wont be any cheaper. shipping/porting costs it will cost about the same. it would cost about $215 total.

plus i could re-sell mine for about 150. so end up spending about $100 on it

for only $100 out of pocket its definitely worth it. gives you some room to grow as well

does anyone know the flow numbers for the Street Heat intake? i cant seem to find them...

here is what tmoss sent me:

The GT40X heads flow 230-250cfm depending on whose bench, but the intake you have flows 205-210cfm due to the restriction in the lower. I can remove that restriction by porting the lower and add 30-40cfm of flow.
